Outfit of the Day: Vintage Duds at Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl

I’m back with more photos from my main girl Stephanie Stein! Can I just take a second to gush on how much I love her work and how lucky I am that we met? We jive so well, and she executes my vision perfectly (although obviously I need to work on my body language just a tad, ha! I’ll be sure to rewatch some America’s Next Top Model to improve my “smize” and to teach myself to stop carrying so much ~tension~ in my mouth. Progress, peeps.) We’ve got some awesome projects in the works, I’ll be sure to share more deets when I can.

I elected to go for a vintage theme for this shoot since these BAIT glitter loafers are really retro and quirky, so we decided to check out The Eclectic Cafe & Vinyl on Spring Street.  I’ve been there a few times for my matcha latte fix (#shitwhitegirlslike), but I rarely had a chance to browse the vinyl selection.  Eclectic has a great mix of vintage records as well as some new releases and even vinyl from local artists.  They also have a listening station near the lounge area, but my social anxiety kicked in and I opted out–hey, there’s always next time!

My thighs touch because they love each other, duh.

The people who work here were SO NICE and even encouraged us to take photos! The guy behind the counter actually made sure we had good lighting inside during our shoot, he was such a saint. Music-wise, I was on the hunt for Grimes‘ Art Angels or Kali Uchis‘ Por Vida, and Stephanie bought the Neil Diamond album pictured above.  It was the best friend date/photoshoot I could have asked for.

I have a terrible tendency to get trapped in a self-made routine, so I’m making it more of a goal to visit more local joints around town.  Any other places you would suggest that I check out for future photoshoots?  Leave me your suggestions in the comments.

‘Til next time, kittens!
