Outfit of the Day: Sassy Sweatshirt by Valfré + Magazine Launch!

I’m back with another shoot from Pale Girl Photography! I absolutely ADORE shooting with Taylor, she perfectly understands my blog aesthetic and really knows how to capture that film-like appearance with digital equipment. It’s hard to believe we’ve only known each other a few months, I truly feel like we were destined to cross paths both as colleagues and as friends.

Outfit of the Day: Cattoo Debut by Pale Girl Photography

I had the absolute privilege to shoot with Taylor of Pale Girl Photography last week for an outfit post, and she captured some excellent shots, especially of my tattoo.  I’ve been a huge fan of her work since I stumbled across her Instagram page a few months ago, and we had the chance to grab coffee a few times and decided to finally join forces on a shoot. Maybe I’ve just been getting super lucky, but the people I’ve collaborated with recently have been a joy to work with, and this shoot was no exception.

Outfit of the Day: Springtime Sunsets with Frenchie Vintage (Sponsored)

I know I talk about this a lot (or maybe not enough??), but anxiety is a bitch.  Even with Adavan I still feel like I’m struggling to be a normal, functioning human being on certain days.  Having anxiety when you are in a field like fashion or blogging where you’re expected to be a ~people person~ makes it incredibly difficult to find the willpower to network. (Also, does anybody else feel like “network” is such a dirty word?? Like, meeting people for the sole purpose of working together, it seems like such a bizarre social construct and sort of a nauseating byproduct of capitalism??)

Outfit of the Day: Crawling Out of the Comfort Zone with Pose Wigs (Sponsored)

Over the past few years, wigs have become sort of my “signature” sartorially, mostly by accident really. Aside from being a great way to change up my style from look to look, wigs are also work for those awkward hair days, especially now that I’m in the slow (read: painful) process of growing out my pixie cut.

Outfit of the Day: That Hipster Chick Featuring Niaski (Sponsored)

An aspect of fashion blogging that’s important to me that I don’t emphasize enough on this blog is shopping indie. So often I see “influencers” repping these major brands like H&M or Saks Fifth Ave, but I’m much more interested in getting to know small shop owners, makers, and designers since I’m also in the independent realm with Cats in My Closet (speaking of which, can you believe that I’m less than 100 followers away from my first 1,000 mark? If you want to give me a quick follow on Instagram, it would be much appreciated!)
