I’ve been pining for this HKM skirt foreverrrrr.
Valfré always has the cutest clothes. From my experience, sadly, they can run a bit small, so it can be difficult for me to find pieces that fit (I’m somewhere between a true medium and large).
Miraculously, this dress was on super sale and I was able to snag one in my size before they sold out *sobs* The dress is made of a stretchy material (good for busty girls like myself), although I will say it is VERY short, so I decided to pair with some tights just in case 😉
THE FAIR IS HERE!!! Every fall, the Coastal Carolina Fair comes into town, but the last few seasons I haven’t had the opportunity to go due to work or traveling. I’m always waaaaaaay too nervous to go on any rides (have you seen how quickly those are put together?! NOPE.) but I love partaking in fair food: caramel apples, Elephant Ears, deep fried Oreos (seriously amazing if you’ve never tried them.)
I had the opportunity to collaborate with photographer Nicole Mickle for a really cool night shoot amidst the food stalls and ferris wheels. Read more for full outfit deets and to see all of the incredible photos!
One of my goals for the blog is to do more editorial shoots as opposed to standard outfit photos. What I love most about editorials is that I can be a little more creative in my approach, and let’s be honest, standard outfit posts can get really boring.
I’m back with part two of my outfit photo session with Lindsay Thomaston. I had an absolute blast hanging out with her in Atlanta (be sure to go to Java Cats next time you’re in the city, that place is magical!), it was so wonderful to meet a like-minded fashion blogger who is as ultra feminist and authentic as I am. It’s back to work again, so I’ll be keeping this post short and sweet.
My fellow anxious babes, you would be so proud of me. I not only shot outfit photos in another city, but I shot with a brand new photographer that I’d never met before! This may seem small, but if you have social anxiety, this is a huge fucking deal.
I am elated to finally share these photos I took with Rosie Harper a few weeks ago! I originally stumbled across her account via a mutual friend (her portfolio absolutely blew me away), and I immediately thought to myself Oh my god, I have to shoot with her. Funnily enough, after we met, I realized that we pretty much grew up in the same area, but because of our age difference we never had the chance to meet (I was already in college when she started high school). Life is so bizarre sometimes. (Sidenote: Rosie also has a British accent, so I fell in love instantly.)
At any rate, she had a great idea for a rainy day shoot…only, the day we decided to shoot, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. She managed to work some photoshop magic to make it rain (literally), and we turned out with some stellar photos, if I do say so myself.
