I had the absolute privilege to shoot with Taylor of Pale Girl Photography last week for an outfit post, and she captured some excellent shots, especially of my tattoo. I’ve been a huge fan of her work since I stumbled across her Instagram page a few months ago, and we had the chance to grab coffee a few times and decided to finally join forces on a shoot. Maybe I’ve just been getting super lucky, but the people I’ve collaborated with recently have been a joy to work with, and this shoot was no exception.

Over the past few years, wigs have become sort of my “signature” sartorially, mostly by accident really. Aside from being a great way to change up my style from look to look, wigs are also work for those awkward hair days, especially now that I’m in the slow (read: painful) process of growing out my pixie cut.

An aspect of fashion blogging that’s important to me that I don’t emphasize enough on this blog is shopping indie. So often I see “influencers” repping these major brands like H&M or Saks Fifth Ave, but I’m much more interested in getting to know small shop owners, makers, and designers since I’m also in the independent realm with Cats in My Closet (speaking of which, can you believe that I’m less than 100 followers away from my first 1,000 mark? If you want to give me a quick follow on Instagram, it would be much appreciated!)
